The simplicity of this image, distorted by pressing herself against a pane of glass fascinates me. The shapes and contours created give the impression of mutated human meat, almost like a cross section of muscle and flesh. Although a defaced image, the choice of colour and composition gives a serene and peaceful feel.

Contrast and composition are what I admire in this photograph. The placement of subject matter creates an imposing, strong and beautiful image. The two doors in the background, one open, one closed make another juxtaposition, and always remind me of decision making, the face being so close adds a feel of anxiety .
